Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Ms. Sandy brings a global viewpoint to her practice. As a former mortgage broker and business owner featured in Real Estate Executive Magazine, she brings a unique perspective to financial aspects of family law cases. Her diverse background also includes work as an investigator for the Texas Department of Family Services, deepening her understanding of family dynamics and child protection issues.

Ms. Sandy is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA), Lawyers Club of San Diego, and the California Lawyers Association (CLA) Family Law Division. Her commitment to excellence has earned her numerous accolades, including the Lawyers Club of San Diego, “Woman in the law” scholarship recipient and honoree, and a “Caribbean Woman on the Rise” award from the Houston Caribbean community.

Deeply committed to community service, Ms. Sandy volunteers as a high school Mock Trial Coach for San Diego County. She also volunteers for TEDx San Diego. During law school she volunteered with the TJSL Family law clinic which provided free family law legal services to veterans and indigent clients. She holds a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences with a minor in English Literature from Andrews University.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Sandy is a devoted mother to two children and a proud pet parent to an adorable kitten. She maintains a vibrant work-life balance, finding joy and rejuvenation in energizing Zumba classes, theatrical and performing arts, nature walks, and invigorating hikes.
