ABOUT MONROW A. MABON — 35+ YEARS OF CALIFORNIA FAMILY LAW
Monrow A. Mabon is a Senior Trial Attorney at Reel Fathers Rights APC with more than 35 years of California Bar membership — a depth of courtroom history that is virtually unmatched across the entire Southern California family law bar. Admitted in 1987, Monrow has been litigating in California courts since before many of his colleagues were born. His professional biography is singular: Vietnam Era U.S. Army veteran (Honorable Discharge), former LAPD officer, LAPD Discovery Unit member, LAPD Judicial Liaison Officer, FBI National Academy graduate (Quantico, 1991), and former Supervisory Attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern California Region. Clients who retain Monrow gain more than a skilled attorney — they gain the institutional authority, investigative instinct, and courtroom command forged across 35-plus years in the most demanding legal and law enforcement environments the country produces.
Monrow earned his Juris Doctorate from Glendale University College of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from California State University, Los Angeles (1983). His law enforcement background gives him an investigative instinct for identifying inconsistencies in testimony, a deep understanding of how domestic violence allegations intersect with family court proceedings, and a presence in the courtroom that commands the respect of opposing counsel and judicial officers alike.
MILITARY SERVICE, LAPD, FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY & FEDERAL PRACTICE
Monrow served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, receiving an Honorable Discharge after a service-connected injury. While serving as an LAPD officer, he attended law school and was selected for LAPD’s Discovery Unit, gaining hands-on experience with interrogatories, depositions, and motions practice before his bar admission. He later served as LAPD’s Judicial Liaison Officer, then graduated from the FBI National Academy at Quantico in 1991 — an elite leadership program available only to senior law enforcement professionals selected by their agencies. He subsequently served as Supervisory Attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern California Region, before transitioning to private practice in family law.
INLAND EMPIRE FAMILY COURTHOUSES
Monrow’s 35-plus years of Southern California practice give him extensive familiarity with the region’s family courts. Operating from the Corona office, he appears across all Riverside County family law venues: the Riverside Family Court at 4175 Main Street, the Menifee Courthouse serving the growing Menifee and Sun City communities, the Indio Courthouse at 46-200 Oasis Street serving the Coachella Valley, and the Blythe Courthouse serving eastern Riverside County.
For San Bernardino County matters, Monrow appears at the San Bernardino Historic Courthouse at 351 North Arrowhead Avenue, the Rancho Cucamonga Courthouse at 8303 Haven Avenue, the Barstow Courthouse serving the High Desert, and the 29 Palms Courthouse at 6527 White Feather Road serving Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley. His multi-decade court experience means that wherever a client’s case is heard across the Inland Empire, Monrow has appeared before those judicial officers before.
