Ryan was born in Santa Ana and raised in Yorba Linda, and he has built his entire legal career in Southern California courts. He earned his undergraduate degree in political science from California State University, Fullerton, and his law degree from Western State College of Law. After his admission to the State Bar of California in 2012, he spent about ten years litigating family law cases at an Orange County firm. That work covered the full range of family law proceedings, from emergency hearings at the start of a case to contested trials lasting several days. He was selected to California Rising Stars each year from 2018 through 2022.

Ryan prepares each case in detail and plans ahead for the issues the court will need to decide. In a custody case, that means keeping the focus on the best interest of the children and showing the court the role a father plays in his children’s lives. In a divorce, it means gathering the financial records the court needs to divide property and set support fairly.
