Monrow A. Mabon

Senior Trial Attorney

A persuasive and successful trial lawyer, Monrow A. Mabon captures the respect of clients, jurors, and judges. His background goes beyond the practice of law. He is a Viet Nam Era veteran who served his Country with distinction and honor.  He received an Honorable discharge from the United States Army after sustaining a service-connected injury.  He has refused to allow an injury or disability to deter him from pursuing careers as a police officer and lawyer. 

As a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Officer, he continued his education by attending law school in his off-hours.  While attending law school he was selected as a member of LAPD’s Discovery Unit. Thereby gaining enormous experience in responding to interrogatories, taking depositions, and various types of motions.   The experience he gained as a member of the Discovery Unit led to his appointment as LAPD’s Judicial Liaison Officer. He continued to promote through the ranks and ultimately, became the Commanding Office of LAPD’s Equal Employee Opportunity and Development Division, where he had the responsibility of monitoring LAPD’s consent decrees. 

After retiring from LAPD, he was hired as a Staff Attorney for the Office of Legal Affairs (OLA)-State of California.  As a State attorney, he provided legal advice and services to State Officials concerning administrative, criminal, and civil matters.  He retired from State service as a Senior Supervising Attorney for the Office of Legal Affairs-Southern California Region. Upon retiring from Government services, he ventured into private practice with a focus on criminal, family, estate planning, and probate law.  He is experienced in handling legal matters from inception through jury and bench trials. His experience in the public and private sectors has led to his employment with Reel Fathers Rights, APC.
