Thomas Chapin

Thomas Chapin is a Senior Trial Attorney at Reel Fathers Rights Corona Office, bringing extensive experience in civil litigation, criminal defense, municipal law, and family law. Thomas has built a distinguished legal career advocating for individuals, families, and businesses across a broad spectrum of legal issues.
Thomas served as Lead Counsel for Humboldt County Counsel, where he handled high-stakes civil litigation in both Federal and State courts. He also represented key county departments, including the Public Guardian, Child Welfare Services, and Environmental Health, in guardianships, conservatorships, receiverships, writs, dependency, and administrative hearings involving code violations, particularly cannabis-related issues. Additionally, Thomas advised municipal agencies by drafting contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing public records requests and subpoenas.
Before his public sector role, Thomas excelled in private practice, representing clients in family, criminal and civil matters. He defended individuals in cases involving serious charges such as murder, robbery, domestic violence, burglary, and DUI. He also prosecuted and defended parties in family law matters, including domestic violence cases, custody disputes, move away cases, dissolution actions, and support issues.
